As the center of the Rocky Mountain region, Denver is home to some of the largest general contractors in the nation. CH2M Hill, Hensel Phelps, and many others perform more than $1 billion annually in work. This work might be international (the Panama Canal) or more local to the Rocky Mountain region. But the hub for all construction for enarly a 600-mile radius is Denver.
Consequently, there is ample need in the Denver area for attorneys experience in construction contracts and dispute resolution. Colorado has very complex and (often) poorly-writtne statutes that pertain to construction. Colorado’s construction defect statute is particularly difficult to interpret. Combine challenging laws and challenging physical and geographic considerations in the Rockies, and Denver will not see any reduction in its need for construction attorneys anytime soon.
